A Study on Development Scale of Child Client`s Resistance perceived by Play Therapist
Kim Kyoung-Oak

Kim Kwang-Woog
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to develop a scale of child client¡¯s resistance perceived by play therapist to clarify the concept, ¡°Child Client¡¯s Resistance perceived by Play Therapist¡±. For the analysis, collecting survey data for the resistance, assessing the validity and reliability, and reviewing related variables to track the consistency of newly-developed measurement was sequentially completed. To validate the evidence based on internal structure over the scale, preliminary factor analysis over 24 items for resistance was completed and consequently four sub factor was constructed. Factor one is named as ¡®Active-aggressive Resistance¡¯, Factor two, ¡®Passive-avoidable Resistance¡¯, Factor three, ¡®Rejectable Resistance to Therapy Participation¡¯, and Factor four, ¡®Silence Resistance¡¯. First of all, correlation between resistance scale and sub factors were highly statistically significant over four factors. Cronbach ¥á is .84 and sub factors ranges from 0.70 to 0.79, which reflects relatively high internal consistency, and therefore scale developed by the study implies high reliability.
